Dr. Miguel Toro has been a key figure in the creation of Computer Science degrees in Spain. He has occupied several leading positions in the University of Seville, such as Deputy Director of Computer Science for various schools, head of Research in the School of Computer Science and first Director of the Department of Computing Languages and Systems, among others.
He has contributed in the design and creation of several subjects related to software development and founded the research group for Computing Systems. He has also directed over 20 doctoral theses and published several dozen articles in international and national congresses as well as in high impact journals.
He was also part of the Regional Office for the Transference of Investigation Results, where he focused on incentivizing the transfer for technological advancement towards the creation of new private sector companies.
